Assured Enterprises Inc., a leading innovator in cybersecurity, today announced the grand opening of its new commercial operations and corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas.
The company, which offers AssuredScanDKV® the first and only assessment tool with the ability to detect known vulnerabilities below the code level within software and applications running on a workstation, selected the city of Austin for its longstanding commitment to the creation of cutting-edge technologies.
Located at 7300 Ranch to Market Road 2222 in Building 3 of the Ladera Bend complex, the 28,000 sq. ft. space—most recently occupied by IT professional network Spiceworks—will serve as a focal point for commercial product development, supporting the company’s growth over the next several years.
Previously headquartered in McLean, VA, Assured Enterprises will maintain a significant presence in the greater Washington, D.C. area as the company continues to provide cybersecurity solutions to the federal government and defense contracting market at large.
Corporate officers, including Assured Enterprises’ CEO Stephen M. Soble, CTO Jack Dufrene and Treasurer Sylvia Vigneault, will relocate to Austin in the coming months.
Additionally, the company announced that J. Patrick Lochrie, former HR executive responsible for Global Operations at Freescale Semiconductor Inc., will assume the role of Chief, Human Capital, overseeing development, growth and cultivation of company personnel, as well as leading human resource (HR) operations. Prior to working at Freescale Semiconductor, Lochrie served as an executive with both Dell and Texas Instruments.
“Assured Enterprises is grateful to the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Round Rock Chamber, who have worked assiduously to make the establishment of our new headquarters possible,” said Soble. “Our Ladera Bend home is situated in the heart of one of the most innovative IT centers in the country. We have well positioned ourselves for meaningful growth, and look forward to becoming longtime members of the burgeoning Austin technology community.”
The company is projected to hire more than 150 employees over the next 12 months in software engineering, sales, marketing, development and operations, to bolster a series of planned product launches that build on the company’s unique, proactive cybersecurity philosophy. Assured Enterprises’ senior recruiter and long-time IT talent consultant, DeeDee Breaux, will assist Lochrie and the executive team in the effort to acquire local talent.
The company’s plan for significant growth will be further supported by former Lockheed Martin CTO and newly elected board member, Dr. Ray O. Johnson, who spent a portion of his early career in Austin, and he will split his time between the Ladera Bend complex and the metro D.C. area.
